Makes a horrible retreat in LF allowing a fly ball to the track to become a 3 run triple for Duran. Really ugly defense in LF

Airmails a throw from RF that leads to 2 runs. In same inning he drops a flyball on the ttack. Without his mistakes the Mesa sides scores 2 runs not the 5 runs they got thanks to Mendez.

Fires hips nicely. Hands looks good. He doesn’t have a great bat path thus he isnt a great hitter. But excels at liners from short swings ala Judge. He has big height but thin. Didn’t see enough to evaluate defense today.

6'6" IF hit only 226 in 2025. He looks gangly and uncomfortable at 3B as much as SS. Cant even get off a try on chopper down the 3b line. Bleh. Fooled on offspeed at bat. For big guy his swing mechanics are pretty good today. But he chases way too much and looks out of control in field.

Takes a 5 pitch walk in 2nd. Gets a steady diet of changeups with 2 on in the 3rd and he goes fishing. Grounds to Ss and it goes right through SS.

He looks pretty sharp coming in on a chopper for the out. He is inconsistent at SS but better than at 3B IMHO.

He has lopng unimpressive swing but connects in 2nd for a long 2 run HR to LF. He will have power due to height and bat speed. Consistency? Adds a long sac fly to track in 5th. Has decent swing for sure when he is in rhythm.

Launches a nice HR to RF in 2nd. He has some pop when he is on the ball. Still question his consistency at bat. He makes a great DIVING play at 3b in 3rd to rob a hit and run. Looking much improved at 3b. In 4th, they play him to hit the other way in OF. Intersting. Hits it hard up the middle but it turns into routine 4-6-3. Another 6-4-3 DP end the 5th

Flies to track in CF in 2nd with good liner contct. Gets a liner down LF line off handle. Might have gone out if he got it on the barrel but it got down for a double. Stirkes out in 7th on change.

Defensively he looks much more comforable at SS, needs work to play 3b even though his body probably suits 3B better. Looks uncoordinatd despite showing obvious talent. He looks ugly striking out in 2nd and lines to RC for 3rd out in 4th. He has good bat speed but needs to work on head bob. Up with 3 on 2 out in 6th and draws a walk to put peoria ahead.
