Pops to CF leading off the game. Quick hands. Hips are controlled and sometimes not engages as hands do the placing of hit late. No power here but he makes excellent contact. Drops a single to RF in 5th leadingoff. Steals 2nd, goes to 3rd on a bad throw and scores on another bad throw. Hustle kills. Gotta love this guy. My question is: how did he slug 510 in AA?

Draws 5 pitch walk by Mahomes to leadoff game. Picked off on great move but 2b dropped the ball. He swings at low FB on 3-1 count in 2nd and then swings through FB to end another threat. Pops out to end the inning in 4th. Bases loaded walk in 7th. Not as impressive tonight.

He sees the ball well. Just misses double down RF line foul liner on line. Gets walk on request overturn. Strikes out swinging to strand 2 in scoring position in 6th. He has a great eye but not a scary swing.

Takes strike 3 called for 3rd out of 2nd. FB. Strikes out looking in 5th. Lines a SHOT at 1b in 7th and is out. Tough break. Nothing else good today.

Grounds out to 2b. Looking more ordinary every time I see him. But in next AB he gets back to control swing and lines a solid RBI hit to RF.

Flies out deep to LF he hit it very well. 2nd AB he lines a solid single the other way. Barely safe on steal try. Makes a nice running catch in RF in 4th and a spectacular catch robbing a HR in 6th. In 5th he RBI dubles off the wall. He has a very strong contact.

Nearly homers in 3rd, gets an easy sac fly to the wall. He has a strong quick bat and might have good power yet. Makes the last out on broken bat grounder to 1b
