Takes a 80 MPH change for strike 3 in 1st. Up with bases loaded 2 out in 3rd. Takes terrible cut at change in dirt at 77 MPH. He isnt seeing the ball. Guesses fastball and flies to CF. Grounds single up the middle in 5th. He is a not great looking hitter but can play all over. He should be a utility guy

Lines RBI double to RF off Jameson in 2nd. Bloops one off top of bat for single in 4th. He doesn’t really impress

Singles to RF in 3rd off Waldichak. Make a nice catch of Dermis Garcia drive in 4th leaping at wall. He is clearly able in field still. Gets a RBI single to CF in 5th.

He grooves one to Allen and walks 2 in 1st. But escapes with fastballs swung through. He doesn’t look sharp in 1st but his command is better in 2nd and he keeps bats off balance wth location and stuff. He only goes 2 innings - why?

Walks Guldberg on 5 pitches and throws stuff that Dermis Garcia swings at for K. By 3rd batter he was locating change and FB well And the was hitting 98 on the gun by Capel AB. He has velo and stuff just needs to find control

Easy out on grounder twice. He doesn’t appear to be picking up the ball well in the box. His focus may be on 3b defense this spring instead.

Walks on questionable ball call on 2-2. Goes down with bases loaded later. And in 5th flies to track in CF vs Garcia. He is a MLB player but I am not sure if the Royals are expecting too much from him.

Line drive single on middle middle 95 MPH for RBI in 2nd. Then lines a Melancon FB off the wall in 4th. Hmmm. His bat speed doesn’t appear to be special but cant argue with results today. He looked to be right on the ball at bat most of the day.

He still has a hitch. Late vs 92 from Waldichuk. He is good behind plate but not at it unless he times one. In the 5th he does time one and laces it off the wall. He can do that but not consistantly I think.

Saw him before this spring and wasn’t impressed.But he has a remarkably quick bat today launching a double to CF in 7th. But only his 3rd hit all March. Maybe a lucky shot but bat speed looked real

Up when Oliveras is CS. Flies out leading off next inning on bleh swing. He has a good view of strike zone and manages it well. Gets called out on marginal strike 3 in 6th but he looks good (not great) to me.

Not impressive in 3rd with a lot of hard contact allowed. In 5th he is up and in. His chage is tipped early in delivery. 2 out single off the handle after his own error costs him 3 shutout innings. He pitched really well. Smart, efficient, and with good command but he needs to polish some rough edges

HBP and scores. In the 8th he hits one foul by inches down the line. Good thing cause he stayed in box and that could have been an embarrasing out. But his next swing sent It over the wall in LF. Maybe not the best hustle but quick bat. He sees ball well

Rips liner down LF line just foul by inches. He see the ball off Waldichuk better than anyone in KCR lineup. This guy has a great eye. CS in 2nd he overslides the bag

Gets the rare sac fly to 3b on foul pop with tag up. Looks good on the stat sheet but it wasn’t a good AB. Neither was the AB in 8th where he just missed a HR foul to LF. His pitch recog needs work but he can hit Hendrix

Came in to catch in 6th. Up against Oller in 6th and has no chance with his pitch placement. He is a better catcher than hitter in my limited view

DH today. Grounds single to RF on nice swing. Again in 5th he has excellent bat speed on double to wall in LC. Just a tad late on 95 from Garcia in 5th before RBI groundout. He is certainly a big bounceback candidate

Shows 86 change and mid 90's FB. He often places FB at top of zone for K today. 3 K in 2nd. Gets a 123 3rd ending with 3 pitch K of Rojas..Throwing easy and well, great command, could be setup for a breakout season. 3 shutout frames

He is LH sidearmer and his stuff is not good. He tops out near 90 and mostly in 80's. Hits a batter as he is also wild in and out of zone. Allows 3 run HR to Dermis Garcia
