Walk on 4 pitches to start the 2nd. He makes a nice play on chopper to tag runner before flipping to pitcher after being more than half way to 2b on the tag. LONG video review confirms. Takes half a cut for pop out in 4th then takes FB down the middle for strike 3 vs Gott. He doesnt connect with one today

Reached out with half swing and lines a single to LF. In 4th he grounds a Juan Then FB (mediocre) to 3b for out #3.

Five straight balls to start before he drops in a change. Doesn’t seem to be on balance for stride home coming off towards 1b even more than he ususally does. Mostly happens on FB. He gets better by 3rd batter. But his velo goes down a few MPH later in outing as well and he gets rocked. Not ready for prime time yet

He has always been able to handle 2B with the glove. But he looks really good there today. He has a good cut and should hit well especially for a 2b man too. Lines nice clean single to RF in 5th

DH today. Takes a low fastball to LF for solid single with good swing. He has excellent AB vs Gott in 5th battling him for multiple pitches and showing great eye and fouling off multiple tough pitches. Im a big thumbs up on his bat.

All indications are he is to be regular SS in 2023. He hitches on back swing but generates good bat speed. Have they tried to coach away the hitch? Strikes out in 3rd on change up in zone

His delivery looks stressful because he takes ball out of glove in windup. Stutter step on pickoff and he struggles to control runners today. A lot of well struck balls but no damage on shots just foul (3 times in one inning). Shows nice change to end 2nd. Dealing in 3rd hitting 95 still.

Fooled badly on Flexen change then late on 88 MPH FB from Flexen..He has work to do. Raw skills off the charts. Facing fellow unpolished pitcher. Then in 4th he bounces a single through right side for an RBI. His swing looks to be getting longer instead of shorter compared to AFL
