3 hits tonight including a HR. His bat stays in the zone long time. He is big and has a lot of talent that is obvious. But he needs to be more consistent

He is imposing at the plate with 6'6" but very thin. Great bat speed. He blasts a HR tto Oppo in 7th off Jones to change this game to a Scottsdale lead. Pitch by Jones is fat but his bat speed was nice to see. In 8th he fouls off 4 on 3-2 count before walk. Nice

He takes the Spiers change showing good eye. Fishes for low FB. Not a good day along with his whole team. Makes the OF catch of the YEAR in AFL on foul pop down RF line. In 8th he just misses on FB and gets sac fly

Struck out swinging in 1st vs Tiedeman with bat flying in to the stands on high FB. Swings at low chg and out in 5th. In 6th, het delivers line drive inside out for RBI single. Another 2 hit day in the end. He is really good with ugly stats in AFL so far

Pops it up to RF in 3rd. Whiffs in 6th, picks up the pitcher arm slot by McLoughlin changes and tells his teammates. Nicely done as Mesa follows with hits. Hit in head by Sublette with slider that got away in 7th,

Infield hit off the pitcher in 4th. He loses control of bat that goes flying. He is not happy with teammates ribbing about 4 times losing bat in AFL. He needs to grow up a little maybe. After bat throw easy whiff too. Is he too high strung perhaps? Next AB he is looking into the oppo dugout while running on routine flyout

Up in 1st with 2 on and none out. Strikes out. Uggh. Later heis thrown out on brilliant bang bang play by 2bman and he twirls in disgust. Most notably his complaints are without any support from his bench who stay away from him in the dugout. I sense a story there. Whiffs in 5th and on slider in 7th to end the game. His BA is down to 231 for AFL

His reaction to pitch is slower tonight. In the field with 2 out and runner on 1st he tries to make a diving catch coming in and misses by over a foot as the ball goes for RBI triple. He just has to relax and let the game come to him. Again mad in 5th on checked swing called K.

Griping at umps again today. Botches a ball for a triple in field. But he takes a pitch the other way for a game tying RBI single in 4th. Swings from heels to whiff in 6th.
